Announcements

Communicate important updates to your users through board-wide announcements. Announcements appear as banners on the board and can be scheduled for future dates.


Accessing Announcements

  1. Go to Admin > Announcements
  2. You'll see all existing announcements

Creating Announcements

  1. Click Create Announcement
  2. Enter a title
  3. Write the message body using the rich text editor (supports formatting, links, and more)
  4. Choose a type (see below)
  5. Optionally schedule it for a future date and time
  6. Click Publish (or Schedule)

Announcement Types

Choose a type that matches the tone of your message:

Scheduling

You can schedule announcements to publish automatically at a future date and time.

  1. When creating an announcement, find the Schedule option
  2. Set the date and time
  3. Click Schedule

The announcement will be published automatically at the specified time.


Managing Announcements

From the announcements list, you can:

  • Edit an existing announcement
  • Delete an announcement
  • Send via email to all users
  • View read count - See how many users have viewed or dismissed the announcement

Email Announcements

Send an announcement directly to all users' inboxes:

  1. Find the announcement
  2. Click Send via Email
  3. Confirm

This sends the announcement content as an email to all registered users.


How Users See Announcements

  • Announcements appear as colored banners at the top of the board, matching their type (blue for Info, green for Success, amber for Warning, red for Error)
  • Users can dismiss them individually - dismissed announcements do not reappear for that user
  • Scheduled announcements publish automatically at the specified date and time (requires a cron job to be configured)
