General Settings
Configure core board settings that control how your feedback board behaves. These settings affect voting, feature submissions, and display options.
Accessing Settings
- Log in as an admin
- Go to Admin > Settings
- Click the General tab
Site Settings
Configure your board's identity:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Board Name | Your product or company name (shown in header and emails) |
| Tagline | Short description shown below the board name |
| Description | Longer description for SEO and sharing |
| Favicon | Small icon shown in browser tabs |
Voting Settings
Control how users interact with voting:
| Setting | Recommended | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Allow anonymous voting | Off | Whether visitors can vote without logging in |
| Votes per user | Unlimited or 5 | Maximum votes a user can cast across all features |
Disabling anonymous voting significantly reduces spam and ensures more meaningful feedback.
Feature Settings
Control how feature requests work:

| Require approval | Yes | New submissions go to moderation queue first |
| Allow comments | Yes | Users can comment on feature requests |
| Allow attachments | Yes | Users can attach images to submissions |
Display Settings
Customize what users see on the board:

| Show voter avatars | Display profile pictures on feature cards |
| Show vote count | Show the number of votes on each feature |
| Items per page | Number of features shown per page |
Notifications Tab
Control which email notifications are sent to admins. Go to Admin > Settings > Notifications.
| Notification | Description |
|---|---|
| New Submission | Email admins when a user submits a new feature request |
| New Comment | Email admins when a comment is posted on any feature |
| Status Change | Email admins when a feature's status is updated |
| Weekly Digest | Send a weekly summary email to admins with top features, new submissions, and activity stats |
Toggle each notification on or off, then click Save.
Connections Tab
Integrate Votlie with external services. Go to Admin > Settings > Connections.

| Slack Webhook | Paste your Slack Incoming Webhook URL to receive notifications in a Slack channel |
| Discord Webhook | Paste your Discord Webhook URL to receive notifications in a Discord channel |
| Zapier API Key | Enter your Zapier API key to connect Votlie events to Zapier workflows |
| Custom Webhook | Enter a webhook URL to send event data to any external service. Optionally provide a secret for request signature verification |
Google Analytics
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Measurement ID | Enter your Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID (e.g., G-XXXXXXXXXX) |
| Enable/Disable | Toggle analytics tracking on or off |
OAuth Providers

Board Access Tab
The Board Access tab is available with the Extended License only.
Configure how users access your feedback board, including board access methods and custom domain settings. See the board access and custom domains documentation for full details.
License Tab
View and manage your Votlie license. This tab displays your current license type, activation status, and purchase details. See the License page for more information.
Updates Tab
The Updates tab is available with the Regular License only.
Check for and apply Votlie updates. This tab shows your current version and any available updates. See the Updates page for more information.
Admin Account
Go to Admin > My Account to manage your own admin profile.
- Update your name and email
- Add or update your bio
- Change your password
- Upload or remove your profile photo
- Update your notification preferences
